3. When does MiCA become enforceable?
- MiCA starts in 2024, and all VASPs must comply by June 30, 2025.
4. How long does the MiCA licensing process take?
- Typically, the process spans a few months, depending on the completeness of your application and regulatory reviews.
5. What services are covered under a MiCA license?
- Crypto trading, custody, wallet operations, and other regulated crypto activities.
6. Can MiCA applications be submitted remotely?
- Yes, our team facilitates remote submissions, making the process efficient and accessible.
7. How much does a MiCA license cost?
- MiCA licensing costs include a €33,000 – 56,600 service fee, €4,500 government fee, and supervision fees up to 0.5% of total revenue.
8. Will MiCA impact non-EU crypto companies?
- Yes, non-EU companies must comply with MiCA if offering services to EU residents.
9. What is a step by step roadmap?
Step 1: Company Registration
Registering a limited liability company (Sp. z o.o.) in Poland.
The following costs must be covered by the person(s) establishing the company:
• Qualified electronic signature 💻
• Virtual office fee for 12 months 🏢
• Accounting fees for registering the company in the Beneficial Owners Register 📋
• Registration with the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) and the Tax Office 🏦
• Obtaining a European VAT number (EU VAT) 💶
Step 2: MiCA Application Process
Once the company is established:
• We conduct workshops to prepare the necessary documentation.
• The company is then obligated to submit the MiCA application.
✅ Only after obtaining authorization and being listed in the register maintained by the Polish Financial Authority – KNF can the company conduct crypto activities in Poland.
🌍 After passporting the license, the company will be authorized to operate across the entire European Union. 🇪🇺🚀
Step 3: Bank Account Setup
We provide support with AML-related matters in setting up a bank account chosen by the entity.
💡 However, in some cases, opening a bank account in Poland may require personal presence in the country. This is a subject for further discussion.
